About the Position 

Dev-Afrique is seeking a talented and dynamic Corporate Communications and Events Consultant to join our team. As a consultant, you will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our communication strategies. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker with a strong background in corporate communications, public relations, and stakeholder engagement. 

 A successful candidate will be a leader who can multitask, collaborate, and communicate expertly with diverse internal and external stakeholders.  

While this work will be variable, some of the responsibilities for this position may include:  

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies to enhance the Dev-Afrique’s brand and reputation. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and create engaging content for various communication channels. 
  • Manage external communication, including press releases, media relations, and crisis communication. 
  • Lead partnerships, corporate sustainability and thought leadership on social impact. 
  • Create and curate content for the organization’s website, social media platforms, and other communication channels.
  • Organize and coordinate global and regional events, conferences, and webinars to promote Dev-Afrique and its partners’ initiatives. 
  • Provide communication support for internal initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and alignment with Dev-Afrique’s goals. 
  • Prepare reports on communication activities and their impact on the organization’s objectives.


  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or any relevant field. 
  • 5+ years of proven experience in corporate communications, public relations, or a related role. 
  • Excellent report writing, research, presentation and verbal communication skills. 
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines. 
  • Experience with digital and social media management. 
  • Knowledge of the African social impact or international development landscape is a plus. 
  • Ability to utilize and manage content management systems such as WordPress. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
