Aiming to enhance health programs' impact in Nigeria, the assessment utilized a robust framework called the value pipeline model, encompassing crucial components like data generation, analysis, and operationalization.

Geospatial Landscape Assessment in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Dev-Afrique, alongside DevGlobal and DevIndia, collaborated with the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s Geospatial Insights Support Team (BMGF – GIST) to conduct a thorough assessment of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC)’s health geospatial ecosystem in 2022. Commissioned by BMGF-GIST to explore opportunities that enhance precise health intervention delivery at the subnational level, the assessment employed a robust research framework called the value pipeline model and engaged 40 organizations across government, nonprofits, academia, and the private sector.

The findings from the assessment revealed that despite notable progress, significant gaps exist in DRC’s health geospatial ecosystem, including incomplete data, the absence of a centralized repository, a lack of policy for stakeholder coordination, and limited skills. The resulting value pipeline landscape assessment report has emerged as a catalyst, propelling action, innovation, and collaboration to address these gaps and further advance DRC’s health geospatial ecosystem.
