Hybrid Sorghum and Millet Systems Assessment

Dev-Afrique is conducting a rapid assessment of the sorghum and millet sectors in Nigeria and Senegal to identify key constraints and opportunities across seed systems, production, markets, and policy. The study will generate evidence-based recommendations to strengthen value chains, improve productivity, and inform future investments in resilient and inclusive food systems.

AGX

Dev-Afrique provides strategic research, policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and evidence generation to support AGX’s work on agricultural transformation across Africa. Our support includes technical research, convening diverse stakeholders, synthesising insights, and developing practical recommendations that inform policy, strengthen partnerships, and accelerate the adoption of innovative agricultural solutions.

Cassava Value Chain (Nigeria)

Dev-Afrique conducted a comprehensive initial market assessment of the cassava value chain in the country, industry analysis, and government interventions, policies, and regulations along the value chain. We also developed a full-scale financial model and designed an implementation plan analyzing various scenarios to ensure optimal results. With our Support, the client moved toward the implementation of the first phase of the Project.

EO Farm Use Cases (NASA Harvest)

Dev-Afrique supported NASA Harvest, a multidisciplinary consortium led by the University of Maryland, in developing a business case for expanding Kenya’s EO-Farm (Earth Observations for Field-Level Agricultural Resource Mapping) initiative.

Engaging stakeholders across the private, public, and academic sectors, Dev-Afrique validated the need for EO-Farm at the intersection of agriculture and geospatial technology, and produced a report identifying three high-value business cases with a supporting cost-benefit analysis, laying out a clear value proposition and sustainable funding pathway for EO-Farm in Kenya.

Regenerative Agriculture & Seed Systems Strategy for AGRA

Dev-Afrique is supporting AGRA in shaping a Pan-African strategy on regenerative agriculture and seed systems, helping translate evidence and field experience into practical knowledge products. The work aims to guide how governments, seed systems actors, and development partners advance more resilient, regenerative farming practices across the continent.
