Assessment of Sierra Leone’s Ebola response Use Case

The research involved engaging with key stakeholders within Sierra Leone's emergency response system, illuminating how the knowledge gained from the Ebola crisis played a pivotal role in shaping its approach to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In collaboration with DevGlobal, Dev-Afrique embarked on a mission to unearth the vital lessons derived from Sierra Leone’s response to the Ebola outbreak and the subsequent application of these insights during the COVID-19 response.

This effort included a deep-dive analysis of the healthcare system’s evolution, transformation, and innovation. The research involved engaging with key stakeholders within Sierra Leone’s emergency response system, illuminating how the knowledge gained from the Ebola crisis played a pivotal role in shaping its approach to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The research findings led to the formulation of recommendations informed by these key learnings, to inform and guide strategic responses in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Dev-Afrique’s commitment to fostering informed decision-making and driving healthcare system enhancements in Africa remains unwavering.
