Guinea Worm Eradication Program in Ethiopia and South Sudan

Providing geospatial mapping support, project management, mobile application development, strategy development, and other related services.

Guinea worm is a parasitic infection that affects people in rural areas with limited access to clean drinking water. DevGlobal and Dev-Afrique have collaborated with a centre to identify and address small water bodies that may serve as breeding grounds for copepods. DevGlobal used advanced technologies, including synthetic aperture radar and mobile GPS, to create accurate maps of affected areas and developed a mobile app to support field teams. Our efforts are bringing us closer to eradicating Guinea Worm disease and addressing public health issues.
