About:

Eng. Grace Wambui is a Consultant at Dev-Afrique Development Advisors. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Construction Engineering and a Master’s degree in Project Planning and Management, both from the University of Nairobi. She is a registered Professional Civil Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya and a corporate member of the Institution of Engineers of Kenya. Grace is a specialist with 15 years of working experience spanning water, sanitation and telecommunication fields.

In water and sanitation, she has a wealth of experience in design, construction supervision and contract administration of water and sewerage projects. She is also well versed in water services regulation, water and sanitation utilities’ institutional capacity assessment and strengthening, development of water and sanitation data systems, and development of implementation plans for utilities on Citywide Inclusive Sanitation (CWIS), including the establishment of onsite sanitation units. She is currently part of the team supporting the Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) in developing national sanitation indicators and associated frameworks for Kenya.

Grace has worked as a Technical Advisor to WASREB and as a project engineer for the Athi Water Works Development Agency. As a water and sanitation consultant, she has undertaken assignments for Water and Sanitation for Urban Poor (WSUP), World Vision Kenya (WVK), Water Sector Trust Fund, KfW, GFA, JICA, GIZ and over 20 water utilities in Kenya.
