About:

Punita Nook Naidu is a Senior Advisor at Dev-Afrique Development Advisors. She is a water sector practitioner with a total of 23 years of experience in both the private (Indah Water Konsortium – service provider) and public sector (National Water Services – regulator), which gave her a unique perspective in solving problems, identifying opportunities as well as strategizing and rolling out initiatives in relation to water sector.

She was involved in industry restructuring, tariff-setting mechanisms, industry benchmarking and public consultation exercises to secure support in driving various initiatives. She has extensive experience in the formation and implementation of policies, regulatory arrangements, strategies and industry technical standards. She had been engaged as a subject matter expert by national and international agencies on the sewerage and sanitation sector, regulatory matters and good regulatory practices. She founded a company that focuses on pioneering the approach of performing data analytics and consultancy services that specializes exclusively in providing resilient and adaptable water resource management solutions from technical and policy angles.

She holds a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Australia, a master’s of science in chemical engineering from the University of Science Malaysia and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Science Malaysia in chemical engineering.
