Showcasing and promoting sanitation data system tools used for generating decision-making, service delivery, and performance management data within municipalities and utilities in sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia.

The Water Utilities Information System (MajIS) is a regulatory data platform developed by Tanzania’s Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority (EWURA) to improve oversight of water and sanitation services—particularly onsite sanitation (OSS) and faecal sludge management (FSM). Used by over 85 water and sanitation authorities (WSSAs), the system standardizes data collection, supports business plan submissions, and tracks performance across 12 key regulatory indicators.
The Integrated Municipal Information System (IMIS) is a comprehensive web-based Geographic Information System (GIS) that enhances municipal sanitation management and accountability in Bangladesh. Initially implemented by Dhaka WASA, IMIS integrates critical sanitation data to manage desludging requests, transport logistics, treatment quality monitoring at faecal sludge treatment plants (FSTPs), sanitation worker safety, urban-rural sanitation convergence, and revenue tracking.
The Water Regulation Information System (WARIS) is a web-based system developed by the Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) to oversee and evaluate the performance and compliance of water service providers (WSPs) in Kenya.
The Indah Water Malaysia Planning Tool enhances sanitation service delivery across Malaysia. Aligned with ISO55001 standards, it integrates spatial and operational data to support informed decision-making, strategic investments, and improved sanitation service efficiency.
The Sanitracker application is a comprehensive digital system that simplifies non-sewered sanitation services. By connecting residents with licensed sanitation service providers and enabling utilities and regulators to monitor service delivery, it ensures efficient and compliant sanitation operations across Africa.
The Lusaka Sanitation System (LSS) is a web-based sanitation Monitoring & Evaluation Management Information System (M&E MIS) that enhances sanitation management in Lusaka, Zambia.
