At Dev-Afrique and DevGlobal, we know that real progress on gender equality comes through consistent, focused action. This International Women’s Month, we partnered with Women Impacting Nigeria (WIN) to support the AccelerateHer Outreach Program—a hands-on initiative aimed at supporting grassroots women entrepreneurs in Lagos – which builds on the IWD 2025 them of “Accelerate Action.”
50 Women. Real Support. Immediate Impact.
Through the AccelerateHer Outreach Program, 50 women received:
- Business Training on how to build and grow their ventures.
- Financial Literacy Sessions to help them manage money and plan better financially.
- Vocational Training on bead and soap making, to help them diversify their skills and income streams.
- ₦50,000 Micro-Grants to launch or scale their enterprises.
This was an initiative aimed at giving women the necessary tools to act immediately and sustainably.
Accelerating Long-Term Change
Gender equality is an ongoing effort that demands intentionality. By investing in women-led businesses, we have contributed to strengthening communities in Lagos State, fostering economic independence, and laying the groundwork for a more equitable future.
The AccelerateHer Outreach Program sponsorship builds on the work we’re doing across the continent in DevAfrique, including projects like WEE Lift Kaduna, where we continue to support women’s economic participation.
The event held on March 22, 2025, and it was a moment of pride for our team and our global partnership with DevGlobal. This was also a reminder that this work continues, and we are committed to showing up as an Africa-based, Africa-led organization focused on social impact.
