Ahmad Raji is GIS Analyst at Dev-Afrique with experience in applying geographic analysis and technologies for improved information management and decision support.

Prior to joining Dev-Afrique, Ahmad worked with Agristry as a spatial data scientist where he played a pivotal role in developing solutions for farm management and precision agriculture by utilizing spatial analysis, remote sensing and machine learning techniques. He has also worked as a GIS analyst at the office of the Surveyor-General, Osun state, Nigeria, where he managed land parcel information and ensuring proper topological relation between entities.

Ahmad has volunteered on several impactful projects, including the Crop Pest Management Using AI in Somalia project with Omdena – Somalia Chapter, the Citizen Science Mapathon for Vulnerable Flood Communities in Nigeria with Unique Mappers Network, and the NASA COVID-19 Project with URISA as a GIS Corps member.

Ahmad holds a bachelor degree in Surveying and Geoinformatics from Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
