Betty is a Corporate Communications Consultant at Dev-Afrique Development Advisors, where she leads and supports strategic communications across programme implementation, business development, thought leadership, and organisational visibility initiatives. She works with multidisciplinary technical teams to translate complex research, policy, and programme evidence into clear, actionable narratives that strengthen stakeholder engagement, support resource mobilisation, and demonstrate development impact.

Her expertise lies in project and programme communications, knowledge management, policy and research translation, donor communications, and executive thought leadership. She has led and supported the development of communication strategies, impact reports, policy briefs, technical publications, websites, communication campaigns, webinars, and other knowledge products that enhance organisational visibility and communicate programme impact across water resources management (WRM), water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), renewable energy, climate resilience, agriculture, governance, and sustainable development.

Prior to joining Dev-Afrique, Betty served as Communications Advisor at Basinwide Systems Ltd, Project Advisor under GIZ’s Variable Renewable Energy Programme, and Junior Project Advisor under the GIZ Water Sector Reform Programme. Across these roles, she contributed to policy development, institutional strengthening, capacity building, and stakeholder engagement within the water, renewable energy, governance, and development sectors. She also brings experience in digital media, communications training, and research consulting across local and international development contexts.

Betty holds a Master of Arts in International Relations (Development Studies) from United States International University–Africa and a Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Electronic Media) from Daystar University, Kenya. She has additional professional training in Capacity Works from GIZ and Digital Content Creation from the Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB), UK Aid, and the Africa Centre for Women, Information Technology (ACWICT).
