Laura Guzmán is a Senior Advisor at DevGlobal, where she advises on organizational and programme strategy while serving as Deputy Program Lead for NASA Lifelines. Drawing on a strong background in strategic communications, she supports organizations in navigating complexity, driving organizational change, and strengthening programme impact.

Laura brings 15 years of experience spanning strategic communications, organizational strategy, research, and stakeholder engagement, with much of her career focused on the intersection of technology and society. She has worked with and advised mission-driven organizations on initiatives funded by NASA, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and Open Society Foundations, covering areas including satellite data, emerging technologies, and human and digital rights.

Prior to joining DevGlobal, she co-led the global nonprofit The Mission Continues and held leadership and communications roles as Editorial Director at iMerit Technology and Program Assistant in the Information Program at Open Society Foundations. She also serves on the boards of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team and Wonderfolk.

Laura holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs, Development, and Urban Studies from The New School, with a focus on GIS and urban economics, and a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies from Washington University in St. Louis. She has also completed the Climatebase Fellowship (2025) and the Policies for Degrowth programme with Research & Degrowth International (2025).
